The Storm - Meg Anderson

From east to west black clouds appeared,

The Captain said 'twas stones he feared,
The sea had changed from green to grey
And from the waves flew glist'ning spray.

Then came the storm with wind and rain
And waves that tossed the ship amain.

And so it raged throughout the night;

The wind was whistling with delight.

The waves that crashed were loud to hear
They filled the passengers with fear,
And made them talk of tragic tales

And dream of wrecks in cruel gales.

Next morning they awoke to find

The angry waters, calm and kind;

Above them in a clear blue ski

 White fleecy clouds were sailing by.
